George Morfitt, Chair - Public Interest

George Morfitt is an adjunct professor at the University of Victoria's School of Public Administration. Previously, during his appointment as Auditor General of British Columbia, he oversaw the implementation of leading-edge governance and accountability initiatives in the public sector.
Henry Harder - Health Care & Rehabilitation Representative

Dr. Henry Harder is a registered psychologist specializing in rehabilitation and family psychology; he holds a doctorate in counselling psychology. He has practiced in the field of vocational rehabilitation and disability management for approximately 17 years, and is an associate professor and Chair of Health Sciences at the University of Northern British Columbia.
Phillip Legg - Worker Representative

Phillip Legg’s involvement in the labour movement began soon after graduating from SFU in 1977. His work has covered a broad range of issues and responsibilities, including collective bargaining and employment security. From 1997 to 2005 Phillip was director of Research and Legislation for the BC Federation of Labour. He currently is the director of Policy and Communications for the Federation of Post Secondary Educators. He also serves on the Board of Community Savings Credit Union, a B.C. financial institution with over $350 million in assets.
Joe Lindgren - Employer Representative

Joe Lindgren is a small business owner and president of Lincor Enterprises Ltd., a commercial painting and decorating firm located in Vancouver, B.C. He has extensive board experience. He is a former president of the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association (ICBA) and served on the board of directors from 1996 to 2004. He is a trustee of the Construction Industry Benefit Plan and a director of the Vancouver Resource Society. He formerly served as a director on a trade advisory council under the former provincial apprenticeship board and as a director and president of the University Golf Club.
Tazeem Nathoo - Public Interest Representative

Tazeem Nathoo, CMC, ICD.D, is an Executive Coach who works in association with Western Management Consultants. Formerly, she was part of the senior executive with a regional financial institution and has several years of experience working with crown corporations. Tazeem is a board member of Citizens Bank, BCAA, and the Canadian Patient Safety Institute.
Rick Roger, Vice Chair - Public Interest Representative

Rick was CEO of the Vancouver Island Health Authority until October 2004 and CEO of the Vancouver/Richmond Health Board prior to his return to Victoria in 2000. Internationally he has completed a number of assignments for the World Health Organization, reviewing service delivery and national health programs. He has worked at the provincial and national levels in developing funding and system reporting, and until recently he was vice-chair of the Canadian Institute for Health Information's board. He received a master's degree in health administration from the University of Alberta in 1980. He has held adjunct clinical faculty positions at two universities and is keenly interested in health services research.
Bob Smith - Actuary

Bob Smith has extensive experience in the insurance, finance, pension, and investment fields, both as a senior executive and board member. Before retiring in 2005, Bob was Principal of Mercer Human Resources Consulting, where he was responsible for the health care and group benefits practice. Previously, he served as President and CEO of Seaboard North American Holdings, where he directed the North American insurance operations of Eureko BV. In addition to his corporate board experience, Bob has also served on the boards of Vancouver Community College, the Physical Medicine Research Foundation, the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association, and BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Planned Giving Committee. He is an actuary by profession, and holds degrees in mathematics, as well as an MA in business administration. Bob currently serves on BC Automobile Association's Audit and Finance & Investment Committees.
