Gifts and gratuities
WorkSafeBC does not prohibit the infrequent exchange of hospitality such as tokens exchanged as part of protocol (e.g. honorary gifts to guest speakers), generally available promotional items, or gifts of nominal value.
An employee or close relative must not either directly or indirectly ask for or accept a gift, favour, service, or promise of future benefit from any individual or organization which has, or is likely to have, a relationship with WorkSafeBC.
Contacts for specific commodities
Contact the appropriate Purchasing Officer for a specific good and/or service. Suppliers interested in selling these products to WorkSafeBC should send their company information to the Purchasing Officer handling their goods or service.
Sales appointments
- Suppliers are encouraged to arrange for sales appointments with the Purchasing Officer responsible for obtaining the specific goods and/or services offered. All appointments should be pre-arranged to ensure suppliers optimize their sales visits and ensure security access to WorkSafeBC premises.
Vendor Complaint Review Process
- A vendor complaint review process is in place to ensure our bid process is transparent and impartial.
